A pre-intervention dental examination was conducted and baseline demonstration on toothbrushing was done one week before the intervention. The intervention proper included series puzzle games for the playing session, lectures on dental health and return demonstration on the Seven Steps of Proper Tooth Brushing technique based on the “Teaching Dental Health†manual obtained from the Department of Health. Series of post intervention evaluation were done two weeks, six weeks, and ten after intervention. An overall P value of 0.082 was noted using McNemar Test. There was a significant decrease oral debris and properly cleaned tongue surfaces, and controlled number of calculus and tooth decay during the post intervention dental examination. Overall the study concluded that Lecture with Play and demonstration was effective in improving the toothbrushing practices and dental status of the respondents however is attributed to the intervention alone.
