Fifty two (52) respondents received only the seminar and were assigned to the control group. A self administered questionnaire was utilized to determine the knowledge and attitude of the respondents and an observation checklist for the practices of the food handlers on areas of food preparation, cooking, storing and serving. In the experimental group, results showed increased in the mean knowledge score from 5.45 in pre intervention to 10.79 immediately after the intervention (p-value 0.000), and 10.51 one month after the intervention (p-value 0.339); attitude mean score also increased from 2.76 in pre intervention to 4.29 immediately after the intervention (p-value 0.000), and 4.32 one month after the intervention (p-value 0.888); poor level of practices (8.72) before the intervention was also improved having higher scores (23.78) within the good category immediately after the seminar. Comparison with the control group showed no significant difference in knowledge and attitude. On the other hand, there is a significant difference (p-value 0.009) in the practice mean scores for respondents in the seminar with video feedback (23.78) compared to that of seminar alone (22.45). Thus, this study concluded that seminar and video feedback is just as effective as the seminar alone on the knowledge and attitude however, seminar with video feedback is better that the seminar alone in improving the practices of food handlers.
