This study was conducted to assess the DepEd School-Based Feeding Program in terms of its appropriateness of the goal, reach of coverage, duration, and adequacy of resources and integration of complimentary programs, implementation strategies of the program and assess the program in terms of its goals attainment. A total of 70 program administrators and program implementers were included as respondents. The study also included 85 parents of the beneficiaries which validated the data gathered. The data was gathered through a survey questionnaire checklist, and personal interviews. The mean scores were taken and assigned to descriptive ratings through fixed index limits. It was found out that the program goals were very appropriate (3.90). The coverage (4.29) and the duration (4.26) were rated a
s very satisfactory. The program personnel were given a score of 3.80 and rated very satisfactory, as well. The resources of the program were given a grand mean score of 4.00 and rated as adequate for the implementation of the program. The integration of the complimentary programs was scored with a grand mean of 3.93 translating to a high implementation. The implementation strategies of the school-based feeding program were given a score of 4.07, which is very satisfactory. The goals attainment of the program was rated with 4.17 and considered as a high attainment. On the other hand, the results of the evaluation done by the parents showed that the appropriateness of the goal was scored 4.14 or very appropriate. The duration was scored with 4.56 or outstanding, and the personnel with a grand mean of 4.14 or very satisfactory. The facilities were rated with adequate or 4.31. The complimentary programs rated with 4.30. The implementation strategies were rated with 4.58 or outstanding by the parents. Lastly, the goals attainment was rated with 4.47 by the parents of the beneficiaries. The data gathered from the parents validated the data gathered from the program administrators and implementers. Moreover, the secondary data shows 79.5% of the beneficiaries were rehabilitated to normal nutritional status, while maintaining 98.84% classroom attendance throughout the school year. The researcher concludes that the implementation of the DepEd school-based feeding program in Isabela City Schools District, Zamboanga Peninsula has a high attainment of its goals with very satisfactory implementation.
