This study aimed to determine the effect of skills demonstration with corrective feedback as a form of health education on the knowledge and practices of housewives regarding decontamination of pesticide-contaminated garments in Brgy. Lower Sto. Niño, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. There were 47 housewives of farmers as respondents included in the study. The skills intervention with corrective feedback was based from a 20-item training guide on proper decontamination of pesticide-contaminated garments adopted from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation and Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation Resource Center. The results were analyzed using one-way ANOVA for the comparison of knowledge pre and post intervention, and Mcnemars test for the actual practices. Over-all results revealed an improvement in mean score from pre-test to post-test 1 was statistically significant with a p-value of 0.000, while the decline from post-test 1 to post-test 2, as well as post-test 2 to post-test 3 was not statistically significant with p-values of 1.00 and 1.00 respectively. Data on the actual practices of the respondents on decontamination of pesticide contaminated garments showed significant improvement from the mean-score of the pre-evaluation of practices which is 7.19 to a mean-score of 19.04 in post-evaluation. The results proved to be statistically significant with a p-value of 0.000.
